I Do Emergent Arts Retail Space

Scanning from ceiling to floor in this luminous jewelry retail interior, the uppermost zone presents an extraordinary ceiling composition of flowing white ribbons arranged in concentric elliptical patterns, their surfaces smooth like carved soap or folded cream, creating layered waves that seem to ripple outward from an elliptical mirrored surface positioned off-center toward the left. The ceiling forms, warm white suggesting fresh snow in afternoon light, continue down the walls in horizontal striations that wrap the entire space like layers of geological sediment or the pages of an opened book standing on edge. Recessed circular lights punctuate these flowing forms, casting even, soft illumination that eliminates harsh shadows. At the center of the space rises a commanding sculpture approximately two to three times human height, depicting a seated figure in contemplative pose, constructed entirely of dark bronze-colored metal formed into an intricate lattice of interconnected circular cells, like honeycomb or coral, the figure's surface appearing rough and organic despite its geometric construction. Moving to the left foreground, a curved display case with warm golden-bronze metal frame and glass surfaces presents jewelry arranged on soft gray fabric, its organic kidney-bean shape echoing the ceiling curves, accompanied by a white cushioned stool with matching bronze skeletal base. At the center of the space, and protruding through the facade, a massive 9m steel sculpture rises from the first floor space and emerges on the second floor. Symbolically, the one to one scale elephant and figures represent the wisdom, strength and unity as a projection of the relationships which can be embodied by those visitors to the retail space.
