This architectural photograph presents a large contemporary commercial building captured at dusk, framed from street level looking upward toward the structure against an overcast twilight sky. The building dominates the right two-thirds of the composition, rising approximately fifteen to twenty stories in height. Beginning with the sky, soft gradients of cool steel blue and pale lavender suggest the transitional blue hour between day and night. Moving to the building itself, the most striking feature is a massive angular form that projects outward from the upper portion, its surface angled like the prow of a ship. This cantilevered volume is clad in dark charcoal-gray panels covered with a dense pattern of small perforations, creating a textured surface that appears almost fabric-like. Bright white linear lights trace geometric paths across this surface, forming a prominent angular pattern that echoes the building's overall Z-shaped profile. Behind this projecting form, two taller rectangular tower volumes rise, their facades showing a more regular grid of windows against similar dark gray cladding. The lower portion of the building, occupying roughly the bottom quarter, presents a warmer appearance with golden amber light glowing from interior retail spaces through large glass windows. Small trees with delicate winter branches stand along the building's base, their scale emphasizing the structure's monumentality. The foreground includes a wide urban roadway with white crosswalk markings, a few parked automobiles, and a cyclist. To the left, portions of adjacent buildings appear in lighter gray tones. The overall atmosphere feels cool and crisp, with the building functioning as an illuminated landmark against the gathering dusk.
Taizhou Z Center, the high-rise center and shopping center in diago-nal form a convenient pedestrian flow path across the base. With this hidden oblique axis, the L-shaped main building, the Nanyang Science and Technology Building on the west and the residential slabs of Yulan Plaza on the north nat-urally enclose to form a public and open city square. This symbol indicates the façade treatment method of the main building wrapped by folded plates, as well as the flow guide of the entrance and exit of the volume cutting.
