This audio description presents a contemporary floor lamp photographed against a light cream-colored wall. The overall format is square, capturing the upper portion of the standing lamp in intimate detail. Beginning with the dominant feature, a large tilted oval ring of warm white light floats in the upper left portion of the frame, its illumination soft like morning sunlight filtered through sheer curtains. The ring tilts away from the viewer, creating an elliptical shape approximately spanning half the image width. The light emanating from this ring feels gentle and warm, like the comfortable glow of candlelight translated into modern form. Moving downward and rightward, a slender metal stem in dark bronze coloring rises vertically from the lower edge before executing a graceful S-curve that connects to the bottom of the illuminated ring. This stem has the cool, smooth texture of brushed metal, suggesting a surface that would feel sleek and slightly cool to the touch. The curve possesses organic fluidity, bending like a plant stem reaching toward light. The background presents subtle tonal variation, warmer and brighter near the center where light reflects from the wall surface, transitioning to cooler blue-gray tones in the corners. A soft shadow falls diagonally toward the lower right, grounding the floating quality of the design. The overall atmosphere suggests quietude and refinement, as if entering a space designed for contemplation. The relationship between the substantial luminous ring and delicate supporting stem creates visual tension, like a flower too large for its stem yet maintaining perfect balance. The interior space of the ring appears as pure warm light, without visible mechanical elements, achieving an almost immaterial quality where solid form dissolves into radiance.
Cling is a floor lamp by Robert Dabi. Emerging from the floor plate, the pole seamlessly wraps around a spotless LED ring made of a slim aluminium profile in a diameter of 55 cm. Within the area between pole and the frame holding the light ring, a flexible section is incorporated. This makes it possible to freely move or tilt the ring and thereby adapt the appearance of the lamp to its' surrounding. Robert constructed the lamp with stability in mind – heavy lower steel parts and top aluminium parts sum up to only 2,5 kg of weight.
